Jo Clayton - DirectorJo works with a number of boards where she provides individual and team coaching for their management teams. Additionally, she advises and facilitates both strategic and business processes. Jo helps clients address capability and capacity issues within their companies including structure and resource requirements. She ensures that mechanisms are in place so that management are implementing plans and meeting the board monitoring requirements.
Jo has been the Director of Leadership Development Programme at The Icehouse (Auckland University's business growth centre ) for nearly 15 years Jo is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors and an Associate of The Boardroom Practice Ltd which conducts reviews of board effectiveness and offers training and advisory for boards and directors. In addition to holding a number of board roles herself, she advises companies which are in the early stages of formalising their governance structures and forming an advisory board. She has a wide range of industry experience in retail, manufacturing, and professional services. She has held a range of senior executive and general management roles including international assignments with Mobil Oil, Fletcher Building and The Warehouse. She is commercially experienced in sales and marketing, distribution channel management, manufacturing, planning and execution, and building and leading high performing management teams. She has an MBA and a B.Ed. from Otago University. |
